This light green velvet gown is worn by Arwen in The Lord of the Rings - Return of the King during Aragorn's coronation scene.

This costume was on display as a part of the Lord of the Rings exhibit at FIDM in March 2004. The information on this site is a summary of my own design notes and sketches made during my visit to the museum. Some of my notes and observations my vary from others who observed this gown - this is simply my own account of what I saw after carefully studying the costume. Many of my design interpretations are based on my own experience with embroidery, bead work, and costume construction.
